Frequently Asked Questions

What should an accessible bathroom look like?

As a general rule, doors only allow unobstructed access if they are at least 80 cm wide. To enable assistance from the outside in case of unconsciousness or a fall, the door should open outwards. At the same time, the walls must be suitable for anchoring grab bars and handrails.

How big does an accessible shower need to be?

The requirements stipulate that access to the shower cubicle must be easily possible even with a walker. Dimensions of at least 120 cm x 120 cm are recommended. For wheelchair users, it should be slightly larger, at 150 cm x 150 cm, to provide sufficient room to maneuver.

Versatile reliefs made of steel and aluminum

The requirements for accessible bathrooms focus primarily on safety. Our robust aids facilitate unrestricted use of the bathroom facilities and, with their special features, prevent the risk of injury from falls. Our grab bars are made of stainless steel or aluminum and have been tested for load-bearing capacity with over 200 kg. Our angled grab bars offer a dual benefit, as their angled shape provides support both when standing and when getting up. They are therefore ideally suited for installation above toilets, showers, and bathtubs. Since accessing the shower and bathtub requires considerable effort for some users, our shower seats can provide relief. These can be folded up after personal hygiene or removed completely if needed. The specific items you choose when planning an accessible bathroom should depend on the individual needs of the future users.

Safety is our top priority.

Many of our grab bars are made of high-quality, recyclable stainless steel. They are securely anchored to the wall with stainless steel screws, making them extremely durable. The grab bars are designed with a 40 mm gap between the wall and the handle, preventing forearms from getting caught. This significantly reduces the risk of falls. Our solid aluminum grab bars and handrails are manufactured with a material thickness of 3 mm. The rounded profiles provide a firm grip and prevent hand twisting. With a similar distance from the wall to our stainless steel models, they also offer effective protection against pinching. All our support aids have proven their durability in load tests exceeding 200 kg.
