UP, AP, auwehhhh? Das 1x1 der Montagearten!

On our website, you'll likely encounter terms like UP, AP, surface mounting, flush mounting, wall mounting, or wall installation. Is this technical jargon to you? Then you've come to the right place. In the following paragraphs, we'll try to shed some light on the subject. AP (surface mounting) Surface mounting (abbreviated AP) refers to installation on a regular wall. The wall requires no recess or other preparation. The product is simply mounted to the wall and protrudes from it at its full depth. It is therefore a simple wall mounting. kb110sswm_cl

UP (flush mounting) Flush mounting (abbreviated UP) refers to installation under plaster. The product is partially or even completely recessed into the wall. This requires a recess in the wall. After installation, the product protrudes only minimally from the wall or is even completely flush with it. It is therefore a wall-mounted unit. kb110ssre_cl
