Sustainability is highly valued.

Moderate consumption and a new attitude towards environmentally conscious behavior in everyday life are becoming increasingly prevalent in our society. In particular, reducing water and energy consumption, buying organic products from the region, and using environmentally friendly means of transport in public transport and the logistics sector contribute significantly to greater sustainability. Against the backdrop of economic and environmental issues and challenges, companies have an important role to play, as they can directly influence the consumption of energy and water in the production of their products. By using a suitable product, you can save around 90 percent of water when washing your hands alone, thus permanently preventing unnecessary energy waste. Therefore, it is naturally important to give high priority to choosing the right equipment.

Ecological considerations are the main focus.

For over 90 years, conserving natural resources and controlling water and energy consumption have been central challenges for DELABIE. To ensure the highest possible level of sustainability, the company considers ecological factors and combines them with design-oriented products for public spaces. Public restrooms have particularly high water consumption, which is why innovative, environmentally friendly solutions are needed. DELABIE is considered a pioneer in the field of ecologically oriented business practices and has, for example, developed self-closing faucets. These high-performance products are significantly more efficient and sustainable in terms of energy and water savings compared to competing solutions from other manufacturers.

High-quality products with a green thumb

DELABIE is committed to sustainable and responsible practices in all areas of its business. For example, modern, high-quality bathroom faucets have a flow rate of 1.5 to a maximum of 3 liters per minute. Most competitors offer faucets for residential use with a water flow rate of approximately 6 to 12 liters per minute. Reducing the flow rate alone is not enough to ensure sustainable water consumption in the long term. Handwashing, or rather the lathering of hands, accounts for the largest share of unnecessary water consumption, at around 60 percent. To counteract this, DELABIE has developed a special system that automatically stops the water flow between wetting and rinsing. Furthermore, DELABIE's product developers are constantly working on increasingly efficient functionalities that reduce energy consumption while still prioritizing optimal user comfort. With this in mind, many faucets feature easy operation, allowing the water to flow with only minimal mechanical pressure.

Meaningful consumption through suitable solutions

The further development and improvement of the product range depends significantly on customer acceptance. This can only be achieved if the sanitary fittings offer a comfortable solution and comprehensively meet individual needs. Furthermore, detailed consultation is absolutely essential for this purpose. Only on this basis can sustainable concepts succeed in the market in the long term. Heavily frequented public spaces, such as airports, suffer far less from water stagnation. In such scenarios, electronic faucets with special hygienic flushing are not strictly necessary. Mechanical self-closing faucets are far more suitable for these areas. If, however, the focus is on reducing the risk of bacterial transmission, electronic solutions can offer significantly better protection from a hygiene perspective. Such installations are used, for example, in touchless toilet flushing systems. In public areas, a wide range of requirements must be met. DELABIE has developed new, innovative technologies to address this. One example is a so-called peak-time program for urinals. This concept aims to reduce water consumption during periods of high usage, such as halftime at a football match. Short flushes contribute to greater comfort. As soon as the high volume of visitors in the restrooms subsides, a thorough flush is performed. The peak-time program also prevents the problem of stagnant water in less frequently used areas. For this purpose, a hygiene flush is carried out at regular 24-hour intervals. It's important to note that low-quality electronic faucets can cause two to three times higher water flow. Compared to self-closing faucets, the savings are therefore significantly less than expected. For this reason, in addition to self-closing faucets, DELABIE's electronic faucet solutions also feature optimized water flow. This renowned, eco-conscious company places particular emphasis on minimizing energy and water consumption when developing new products.
