Environment
Faucets, sinks, drains, and changing tables – how do you reconcile these with sustainability? For us at Armatron, it's quite simple: steel is more durable, more robust, and therefore more sustainable than ceramic. We believe in products that are long-lasting and 100% recyclable. To ensure the highest possible quality of stainless steel, we need to use new raw materials. But not exclusively – depending on the product, up to 60% of the material can be recycled! And because steel products are also lighter than ceramic, we further reduce our environmental impact during transport.
High-quality manufacturing in Switzerland and Europe
Of course, not all our products are made of stainless steel. Our changing tables and containers, for example, are made of plastics. These are even lighter than stainless steel. And the best part is: we can have many of our products manufactured in Switzerland or at least in Europe! This keeps transport routes short.
We have significantly reduced the flow rate of our faucets; with 3 liters per minute at the washbasin and 6 liters per minute in the shower, we have very water-saving faucets. The water flow is precisely metered and automatically shuts off. Our washbasin faucets only run for 7 seconds.
Dual-flush toilets use 3 or 6 liters per flush.
The flush time for the urinal is limited to 3 seconds. With these and similar revisions to our product designs, we are continuously optimizing water consumption. Water and energy can be saved – without compromising user comfort!
