Save water with modern shower elements

Water is a scarce resource for various reasons. As a result of climate change, some regions of Switzerland are experiencing longer periods of drought without rain. Navigation on the Rhine is jeopardised because water levels have dropped dramatically. Companies and local authorities, but also citizens, are called upon to save water. With a modern shower panel, high water savings are guaranteed. With the new models, showering is just as comfortable as your guests are used to. Nevertheless, it is possible to save water with every shower. This not only protects the environment, but also your wallet. In view of this, it is advisable for companies to invest in new shower elements.

Investing in a new shower panel - the benefits

Classic showers have a water flow rate of 12 - 15 litres per minute. This is a common value that has been the standard for a long time for comfortable showers in swimming pools, in companies, but also on campsites and in other public shower facilities. If you want to save water, such a high flow rate per minute is counterproductive. A modern shower element works with a flow rate of just six litres per minute. This means you can save more than half the water consumption with the installation. The investment pays for itself after a short time thanks to these enormous savings.

Little skin contact - an important contribution to hygiene

Saving water is an important maxim of our time. But that's not all. Since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, hygiene in public spaces has become a very high priority. This primarily applies to places where many people come together. Public showers are one of them. The modern shower panel is started by simply pressing the control button. It switches itself off automatically without direct contact with the skin. This is not only a great advantage in terms of hygiene: saving water is guaranteed with every shower. With the classic shower element, the user has to switch off the water manually. This is often forgotten. The automatic switch-off without skin contact therefore combines water saving with high hygiene requirements.

Prevent calcification on the shower panel

In fact, the water throughout Switzerland contains a lot of lime. This is harmless to health. However, taps can quickly become clogged. They often show an unsightly white film. A modern shower element can prevent this by automatically draining the water after each use. If you decide to install a shower panel of this type, heavily calcareous water is no longer a problem. If the water is removed automatically after every shower, the limescale will flow away with it. It has no chance of settling and clogging the inlets over time.

No power supply required

Our shower elements are available in various versions - mechanically self-closing or with a sensor. Mechanically self-closing shower elements in particular have the advantage that they do not require any power supply at all and can therefore be operated very cost-effectively. However, the versions with sensors are also energy-efficient and require only a minimal amount of electricity - we also use commercially available Lithium batteries which, depending on user frequency, have a Kapacity of 3 to 6 years. After that, the batteries can be recycled!
